Developing a Mechanism for Strengthening Utilization of Research

Developing a Mechanism for Strengthening Utilization of Research and Evaluation Findings, Recommendations in Government.

The Office of Prime Minister (OPM) Uganda commissioned researchers at PADRI to conduct a study aimed at developing a mechanism through which the research and evaluation findings and recommendations made by various agencies in government (and Civil society) can be effectively coordinated and communicated to inform public policy debate and formulation. PADRI developed a mechanism to help in leveraging knowledge generated from research and evaluations by various agencies for evidence-based policy formulation. This involves a 2-page summary of all the evaluations undertaken which is uploaded and accessed through a portal on the OPM website.
